All about the lashes!...

Hello fellow followers!
Hope your all good and enjoying the sunshine (whilst it lasts). Since i last spoke to you i have finished my second year in university! woohoo!

Today's post is all about how to make the most out of your eye lashes, and what mascaras are best to use. First up is to talk about the old wives tale about using Vaseline. There is a tale that if you put Vaseline on your lashes just before bed it helps them grow and to be honest i've put some research into it and lots of people have said its worked for them. So from tomorrow im going to start for 2 weeks and then i'll let you know how i get on. If you try it to let me know the results :)

So now moving on to mascaras. All coloured mascaras are fabulous, whether you use blue, black or brown they help elongate and thicken your lashes. For a more fierce look use a black or for a more suttle look go for a brown.

Estee Lauder - Sumptuous Bold Lifting Mascara

I was given this mascara as a freebie after a training day and fell in love with it straight away. It gives your lashes a really dramatic and bold look and really helps them look a lot more full. Not only that but the brush actually helps gives your lashes a 360 degree curl given your eyelashes a fantastic curve. The mascara comes in either blaco or brown and retails at £19.00, it also comes in a waterproof version which is perfect for your hols. You can purchase this item from here.

Estee Lauder - TurboLash

My favourite mascara on the market at the moment is TurboLash. Its a vibrating mascara so be warned, you will get funny looks on public transport. The vibrator (dodgey) is in the brush so as you are applying it to your lashes they are being indiviually seperated. It helps with everything, curling, volume and length and has won many awards for being so fabulous. This gorgeous mascara retails quite highly at £29.50 but does last quite a good length of time. Rimmel - Volume Flash The MAX

Work those Lashes!

Flash the MAX is an amazing mascara which helps make eyelashes look a lot longer. Rimmel states it helps make your eyelashes appear 14x thicker within 10 seconds. What i personally love about this mascara is that it leaves no clumps at all. It retails around £7 and you can pick it up here.

This mascara is fabulous for giving amazing length to your lashes.It leave your eyes with a bright and wide awake look and the packaging is really effective. It retails at £8 and you can get it here.

Bobbi Brown - Extreme Party Mascara

The final mascara discussed in this post is Extreme Party. Its unique formula allows to give lashes an unbelieveably blod volume. It helps seperate and lengthen lashes and is the best mascara to use if you want a real dramatic look. It retails at £18 and you can purchase it here.

A few tips before i go...

1, Always wiggle your mascara brush from root to tip for the best effects!

2, Don't  be afraid tomix mascaras, sometimes if i want a really dramatic look i use up to 3 different mascaras.

3, Use an eyelash curler to give your lashes a curve. Heat your curlers with a hair dryer for about 5 seconds to get the most out of them.

4, A primer will help help seperation of the lashes and help avoids clumps.

5, Change your mascara every few months to avoid infections once it has dried up.
