Bye Bye iPhone :(...

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a good week! I had quite a disastrous couple of days as I went out on Saturday night and lost my phone, and to top it all off I have no insurance! So I am now using a 7 pound alcatel mobile with the ability to upgrade in a year and a half! So i really think, if you haven't already, about getting insurance for your phones! I know its expensive but if you get it with your bank it turns out to be a lot cheaper! Anyway onwards and upwards....

On Saturday we went to Kings College SU which was open to the public.  Its at temple and the most amazing union I've ever seen! Its 4 floors up and over looks the Thames, showing sights such as the London Eye and the OXO tower! It was a fiver to get in with a student card and the drinks were pretty cheap (which is good for London on a Saturday night!) Complete mish mash of genres so I recommend you all go there if your looking for a cheap night out! I wore a leopard print dress from NewLook with tights (as it was freezing!) with high shoe boots for £25 from www.desireclothing.co.uk. Heres a pic of the outfit...

Dressy but nice and warm :)

I don't know how many people have heard of Desire clothing but i think its amazing! Loads of shoes and clothes for really low prices and not bad quality either! At the moment they have these amazing sandals on there for just £10, perfect to get ready for summer! The link for these is http://www.desireclothing.co.uk/products/footwear-gladiator-sandals/cda53black-black-snakeskin-gladiator-sandals-with-side-tassel-zip-.html

Polka dot shorties!
The only pet hate I have when online shopping is the delivery charges, they really push the cost up by a good 3 or 4 pound! However for the passed two weeks i have been receiving emails from ASOS with the option of free next day delivery when you order before 5pm! If you sigh up to ASOS online they'll let you know when this offer is on, and you should definitely full advantage. What i love about ASOS is the fact they have everything you need in a variety of brands and budgets, they also currently have 20% student discount with a valid NUS card! www.asos.com I bought this cute little Motel dress off there a few weeks ago, with free next day delivery and 25% off i got it for £20!!

Clearly not me, but an ASOS model!

This dress so cute for spring and summer and i cant wait to wear it with a cute little flower in my hair :)

I hope you have all enjoyed tonight's post and have a pleasant week! Ill just struggle on  with a phone with no internet :(

Skinny Dipping!...

Its that time of year I dread the most!! Trying to get rid of what I call my 'Christmas Layer!' As I love my food so much I find it really hard to eat good all the time and always seem to end up hungry :(! This post is going to focus on some of my own diet tips that I have tried over the years and also some ideas on how to make yourself look slimmer (also known as cheating!)

Food Tips!

The main problem I always find when dieting is the fact that i love to have big portions of what I'm eating! I hate being hungry so I always stack my plate lots and lots of yummy veggies to make a larger portion. I also snack on foods such as fruit, olives and prawns or have something under a 100 kcals. Ideal snacks under a 100 kcals and low in fat include: Quavers, 2 Jaffa cakes, 1 slice toast with low fat jam, half a tin of most soups, low fat yoghurt and many more! Just check the nutritional value on the pack and if you find any tasty ideas let me know!

The main time I seem to get most hungry is the evening, which is also the worst time to eat! I try not to eat dinner after 6 unless I'm going out for a meal or something. A really good recipe I found is a sin free quiche! There is hardly any calories or any fat in this dish so i always make a biiiig portion and generally eat it all!
You will need: 3/4 eggs (depending on size of quiche)
Lots of veggies! I always use courgettes, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes.
If you fancy adding some meat you can use a little bit of bacon, ham or corned beef.
Very low fat cottage cheese 500g
1, Fry off your veggies and meat (if required) with low fat 1 kcal spray and put them in oven proof dish.
2. Evenly spread the cottage cheese over the top.
3, After whisking the eggs pour them over the top of the dish.
4, Cook in oven around 200c for about 25 mins! (But keep an eye on it throughout!)
5, After cooking put the tomatoes on the top.
It is literally that simple, and if I can cook it anybody can! You can have it as a light lunch or have it for tea with new potatoes and salad. I always have mine with tomato sauce!
If any of you try this recipe let me know how it goes!

Another way i always try to cut back on the kcals is by using quorn instead of red meat. To be honest i hate quorn chicken so don't use that, but when it comes meals such as spag bol and sausage and mash its really delicious. People have a bit of a stigma surrounding quorn but I promise you if you eat it with a sauce you can hardly taste the difference. I gave it to my boyfriend Ollie who couldn't tell the difference (until I told him, and then he kicked up a fuss!) White meat is naturally lower in fat anyway so where possible I always try to choose that, for example i always have turkey when eating at the carvery. Also if you do eat a carvery choose the new potatoes instead of the roasties as they are dripping in fat!

Looking Good!

No matter how much we diet, we always want to look that little bit skinnier, especially when in a bikini! This may sound a bit strange but I always put a layer of tan on before going on holiday as it just gives me that extra bit of confidence when hitting the beach! There are some excellent ways to tan to make your body actually look skinnier, all of which I've tried and tested. The first thing i always do is put an extra layer on my legs! This not only makes your legs look longer but also makes your upper half look thinner! Secondly I put two lines of extra tan on either side of belly to give the appearance of abs! This creates an illusion and makes your tummy look more toned! I am going to do a post on different types of tans next week so if there is any your particularly interested in trying let me know!

Another way to give the illusion of being thinner is PULL IN KNICKERS!! These are honestly my life saver, and I know a lot of my friends think so too! Not only do they pull everything in but they also make me feel more confident and give me less wobble! Their also way more comfortable than a thong! However best not to wear these on a night where there may be a little romance...

Not very attractive but so worth it!

Last point of the evening is how to look thinner in photos! I know how it feels when photos develop from a big night out and we see that one where we look awful! As the camera adds 10 pound its essential that we try and give ourselves a bit of a chance and trick the camera! Firstly always put your arm away from your body to help your arms look thinner! Secondly pulling your face slightly forward away from you face gets rid of any double chin or the appearance of a 'fat face!' Finally standing to the side with one foot in front of the other gives the illusion of a long, skinny body! Obviously if anyone has seen the photos of me from whenever I go out drinking, I rarely stick to these 'rules' and often appear in the most awful positions!
Here's an example of my girl crush, Kim Kardashian working the camera!

I hope my post this evening has given you all some tips, and I know how hard it is to diet as I constantly want a McDonalds, Chinese, Pizza, Full fat cheese in various varieties....
Anyway any ideas or tips for me???
Goodnight everyone!

Much Love,

Living for the weekend!...

Well, well, well! So much to post! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
I went back to Cardiff (my home town) on Friday night for my friend Tonis birthday, and what a weekend it turned out to be! Got a lift there an back by my CRAZY friend Steph, who thoroughly entertained me for the entire journey, with lots of inappropriate topics and bizarre comments! Much better than a tedious bus journey (although it is only £5.50 if I book in advance.) www.nationalexpress.co.uk
I then got home and was convinced to have an Indian with Gemma, so my diet was instantly sabotaged  by a chicken dansak and garlic naan, followed by a McDonalds on Saturday afternoon, Good God!

Dancing on the tables!
Started getting ready around 5 and by 7 I was ready to roll :) May seem like a long time but I had to curl my extensions and tan! I firstly went over Toni's for some strawberries and champagne mmmm and then to our other friends house for a bit of a party before we went out! Everything went down hill a bit from here, and all thats left of the night is a bit of haze! All i know is that the 12 of us girls who went out had the best night we had in ages and laughed and danced the night away! We went to Retro Lounge on Mill Lane in Cardiff (a place i did some flyering for a few years ago) and we couldn't of asked for a better venue! The music was fantastic with songs from "Return of the mac" to "Woah, were going to Ibiza, we even managed to blag some free pitchers from the manager!

Everyone looked beautiful, especially the birthday girl! I wore a red and blue play-suit from H&M which was only £19.99...absolute bargain!! (Well it was my sister Sarah's, but a bargain all the same!) This is a pic of the play-suit, its perfect for spring and summer, and can easily be worn with flip-flops on your hols!

I hope you can see that photo!
I tried to find a link online but the H&M website is quite honestly crap so I cant find it!! I wore black wedges from www.Linzishoes.com and they cost around £35! These aren't my exact pair but a similar design!
http://www.linzishoes.com/prod.php?id=324227_colour_blacksuede

Well I think I've written enough to fry all your brains, so ill stop rambling on now! I'm sure ill be back soon :)

Much Love

Beauty tips for all you girls!

Good Evening everyone hope you've all had a good day!
Im going to take through some of my beauty regime tonight an let you all in on my beauty secrets :) Im going to discuss Clinique 3 step and Origins GinZing Eyecream. I know everyone has their own little tips, so please let me know so i can try them out!
Clinique and 3 step was founded in 1968 with its first counter being at Saks fifth Avenue! All clinique products are allergy tested and hyper allergenic-which basically means all ingredients that cause allergy's are taken out of their products, perfect for people who's skin is easily irritated!. Every single Clinique product is tested 12 times on 600 applicants, thats an amazing 7200 applications! If there is one allergy in any of those applications then the product is completely redesigned! One thing i cannot live without is my Clinique 3 step, seriously once you use it once you'll never stop! I use it in the morning and the night, although i know some people just use it before bed. Your individual three step will alter depending on your skin type,  which the Clinique consultant will go through with you.

Step one is a cleanser, which either comes as a soap or gel depending on your skin type. My skin in dry combination so i have the liquid facial soap. The facial soap is not a cleanser, therefore does not remove makeup, so i always use a makeup wipe first.
Liquid facial soap!

Step two is the clarifying lotion which acts as an exfoliator and comes in 4 different types. Clinique splits skin types into 4 different categories, very dry, dry combination, oily combination and oily which reflects its different clarifying lotion. People sometimes get confused when they have combination skin so heres a little tip. After you wash your face with soap, if it feels tight and a little dry then that is a good sign that your skin is dry combination, if it feels the same as it did before you washed then oily combination is most likely your skin type.

Clarifying Lotion!
The final step is the dramatically different moisturizing lotion which comes in two different selections, dry and oily.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion!

Clinique also do an Anti Blemish 3 step range for people who suffer with bad skin. It is important that people who suffer from conditions such as acne don't use the original 3 step as there is alcohol in the exfoliator with will inflame your skin and cause more irritation. Every person who I've spoken to with bad skin who have used this version of the 3 step have had fantastic results, so you should definitely give it a go!
Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions 3-Step System
Anti Blemish Solutions!

The price of 3 step is quite expensive but Clinique are currently promoting an introduction package for just £20 which is an absolute bargain! You can order it online or i think they stock it in most stores that sell Clinique products. This is a really good set to buy for testing the products out, or even a handy travel pack!

Price Guide!
Liquid Facial Soap/Gel-£13
Bar soap (good for people on a budget as it lasts for ages!) Small-£9.50 Large-£12.50
Clarifying Lotion 200ml-£14 400ml-£23
Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel/Lotion 50ml£15 125ml £27
So a small kit is £42 a medium kit £53 and a large kit £63.

Secondly I'm going to talk about my favourite Origins product, GinZing! This is an eye cream I found whilst working on their counter and its brilliant (and their most popular eye cream!) I put it on first thing in the morning and it helps brighten eyes and helps with puffiness and dark circles. Its perfect for tired eyes as it instantly brightens them up and stimulates the skin around the eyes to make them appear more awake!
origins-ginzing

GinZing retails at £20 and although the pot is small it lasts for ages as you only need to use a little bit!
I'm not sure how many of you have heard of Origins but they have amazing products for skin care. They do some make up but its mostly skin care that they focus on! So if you haven't tried Origins before I really recommend you should! They have an amazing range of products for people who suffer from redness and sensitivity called Dr Weils which I've heard REALLY works! Ill write a review on that in a few weeks!

Anyway going to chill out now an watch some more T.V, just watched EastEnders and cant believe the state of Shirley lol! Also cant believe there still using the stupid Ronnie/Stolen baby storyline, Hell!!

Goodnight everyone, I hope you enjoyed tonight's post!

Much Love

The week so far....

So this week we had Valentines Day :) An mine was lovely!!
My boyfriend Ollie arranged a surprise (which i was worried about) but it turned out to be amazing!! All i knew was that i had to be really dressed up by half 6 and ready to go!! I wore a cream and black chiffon dress with tights and black wedges (which KILLED my feet!!) We got off at Westminster tube station and i thought OH NO were having a picnic by the river!! But to my absolute surprise we were going on a boat trip down the Thames! Sooooo romantic! We had a beautiful meal and saw all the sites of London! I recommend you all to do it as the boat trips run all year round an start from around £20! You can also get deals on sites such as groupon.co.uk and lastminute.co.uk. I hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day...
Me and Ollie on the Thames.

Ollie dressed up smart!

Mmm Salmon and Prawns!

Last night i went to the SU bar at my university-the rocket complex. I was adamant i wasnt going to go, but then obviously i was convinced and ended up having a little too much to drink and Charlotte had to undress me and put me into bed! I blame the price of the drinks! i mean where else in London can you get a pint of cider for £1.80?? So i am suffering today and dont have any pain killers...hard times ahead!
Tomorrow im off home for my close friend, Toni's 21st birthday party :) Were going to the retro lounge in Mill Lane, Cardiff. We went there last year and had such a laugh, dancing to a bit of spice girls!
Anyway ill let you know how it goes, probably be a bit of a blur....
