Hello Lovelies!!
Hope you've all had a good week :-) Today's post in on tinted moisturisers which are perfect for people who like a light coverage or a more simple look for day to day make up. Firstly I'm selling some dresses/skirts/dresses on eBay so if anyone's interested CLICK THIS LINK to be diverted to my page!
Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturiser
This is one of my favourite tinted moisturisers on the market. I may be slightly bias because I'm a massive Bobbi fan but I think its a fab foundation alternative and can be used for day to day wear. When I worked on Bobbi Brown I would often recommend this to customers who would always come back to buy another tube once it had run out. It has an SPF 15 and is available in an oil free version for those of you with slightly oilier skin. It applies to the skin extremely smoothly and helps hydrate the skin whilst giving it a gorgeous natural finish. It comes in 7 shades so it really is for everyone! It retails at £28 and you can buy it here.
Benefit - You Rebel
When I was about 13 I remember playing hell with my Mum because I wanted to start wearing foundation and she thought it was too thick for my skin. (It was, I was just a brat!) Anyway she come home one day with a compromise which was Benefit 'You Rebel'...choice of name couldn't be more suitable. Its an amazing tinted moisturiser that leaves your skin looking fresh with a healthy glow. It has an SPF 15 and lots of lovely vitamins to look after your skin. It retails at £23.50 and you can pick one up here.
Clinique - BB Cream
A lot of people ask me what a BB cream is and to tell you the truth its a bloody miracle that's what it is! Its a tinted moisturiser that gives excellent coverage whilst repairing. nourishing and protect the skin against lines and wrinkles. Cliniques BB cream is my favourite. It has amazing coverage with an SPF 30, so it protects your skin against UV and environmental damage. It comes in 3 shades and applies evenly and smoothly to the skin. It retails at £25 and you can but it here.
That's it for today :-) Hope you enjoyed my blog! Please leave comments if you have any requests for future posts. I haven't yet decided what next weeks will be on so it will be a lovely surprise!
Much Love,
Lorna xoxox

Flawless Face!...
Hey Everyone!
Hope your all well this week :-) Sorry I'm a day late I was working on the Welsh Music Prize yesterday so had no free time...however well done to Future to the Left who won the award. As some of you may have remembered I worked on the Swn Festival last year and I'm doing the same this year, working with The Cribs tonight and John Grant tomorrow. There's amazing acts playing all weekend so if you want to get some tickets go here.
Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup - Urban Decay
I was walking through Debenhams the other day and found out that Urban Decay do a foundation! I'm a massive fan of their eyeshadows so I thought I'd give it a go. The lovely lady who worked for them gave me a sample and told me its very similar to Double Wear...its not but never mind. It has very good coverage and a lovely dewy finish which depending on what look your going for looks lovely and fresh. For me personally its more of a day foundation but you can build it up to get a fuller finish. Its not my fave at the mo but it is definitely growing on me. It retails at £27 and you can get it here.

OK so moving on today's post focuses on 3 foundation that give a full coverage, all of which I think are brilliant! Next week I will do a post on tinted moisturisers for those of you that prefer something slightly lighter.
The Dream that is Double Wear - Estee Lauder.
My favourite foundation of all time is Double Wear by Estee Lauder. It has amazing coverage and comes in every colour to match all skin tones. The foundation is separated into 3 tones, Cool, Neutral and Warm and is then numbered to suit various colours. It has an SPF 10 which is perfect to protect the skin and leaves the skin looking flawless Double Wear can be a bit heavy for the day so you may find you choose to wear it for nights out and special occasions. I wont lie it can feel quite heavy and drying so be sure to whack a load of moisturiser on before use. Double Wear retails at £27.50 and you can pick it up here.
Studio Fix - Mac
Studio Fix by Mac is probably one of the most popular foundations on he market. When I was working for Mac it was the one product most customers loved and wanted. Its medium to full coverage and has a natural matte finish (perfect for oily skin.) It has an SPF 15 and applies smooth when placed on the skin. As with Double Wear I would recommend if you have dryer skin, to put a good moisturiser on first. Studio fix retails at £20.50 and you can get it here.

Soap and Glory Part 2!...
Hello you lovely lot!
I hope you've all had a good week and haven't got too depressed because of the hellish weather! First off just want to say thank you for all the views I've had this week...it's been a lot which means you don't all hate me because I didn't write for ages so that's good! Today's post, as promised, will be part 2 of the previous blog all about Soap and Glory. I'm going to focus on Make-up and Skin care but I recommend you go to their site because they literally have so much to offer!
Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss
One of my fave Soap and Glory products is the Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss. It comes in loads of different colours including pinks and peaches and has the ability to make your lips look up to 10 times bigger! I have to admit that it tingles a lot almost to the point where your thinking 'is this normal?' However it only lasts for a minute and leaves your lips look amazing. The Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss retail at £9 and you can pick one up here.
They also do an amazing little set of the lip glosses that retail at £18 for 5 miniatures...ideal for Christmas :-) You can pick these up here.
SuperCat
For those of you who don't like gel liner or find it too fiddly then SuperCat eyeliner pen is perfect! Its great because you can use it quite defined to get or more natural look or create a thicker line for a more intense eye. I find it very easy to use and I always wear a liquid/gel liner on the top of my lid to finish whatever look. It retails at £6 and you can buy it here.
Peaches and Clean
If your like me and love a good cleanser then Peaches and Clean is fab! It specifically designed to unclog the T-Zone but also acts as a nourishing facial wash too. It can leave you feeling a little dry after so be sure to apply a moisturiser for healthy, soft skin. It has lots of yummy fruits in the ingredients to help your skin look radiant and refreshed. Peaches and Clean retails at £7 and you can buy it here.
Smooch Operator
When winter comes, I dont know about you, but my lips get so dry and chapped! But have no fear Soap and Glory have invented Smooch Operator which is increds! Its an intensive treatment that helps repair the lips leaving them soothed and kissable :-) Smooch Operator retails at £6 and you can get it here.
Well thats it for today chickens! Next blog will be on Urban Decay (got a cheeky sample of their foundation today so will let you know all.) Speak to you next Thursday!!!
Much Love,
Lorna xoxox

I'm back and I Love Soap & Glory Part 1...
Hello Everyone!
Hope you're all well :-) I know I have been the worst blogger in the world but I am now back in the game! First things first, I'm a Brunette!! Radical change I know seeing as I've been blonde my entire life however I am loving it! I have also now graduated from uni...YEY so I now don't have to worry about writing essays anymore (thank god.) Thanks to everyone who has been reading my blog even though I haven't been updating (even people in China??) I really appreciate it.
Anyway moving on to todays post which is all about one of love which is Soap & Glory products. I find all of their products amazing, I have yet to come across one I dont like from their lipglosses to their body butter. You can purchase Soap & Glory online and in any Boots store. So lets begin...
The Daily Smooth Body Butter
The daily smooth body butter is one of my favourite all over moisturisers ever, it is so nourishing and is effective on dry skin. I use it everday (if I remember) and after a week of using it for the time my skin was really soft and not flaky at all. The reason it is so smoothing is due to the fact that it contains cococa butter which is amazing for your skin and also Roseship seed oil. It also contains Soap & Glory's fragrance 'Mist you Madly' which makes it smell amazing. It retails at £8.43 and you can buy this product here.
Mist you Madly
I use this fragrance when I dont want to waste my perfume or smell too heavy as it is more of a body spray than a perfume. So if I'm going to the gym or just got out of the bath/shower I always have a little spray. I sometimes also use it as a room or linen spray. It is really complemnted by the body butter so I recommend to use the 2 together. It features notes of bergamot, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk. It retails as £6.13 and you can buy this product here.
Clean, Girls Body Wash
This is a very nourishing bath or shower wash leaving your skin feeling soft and creamy. Again it is scented with mist you madly but also has natural vanilla extract too. Dont use too much as it lathers really foamys so a small amount does the trick. It retails at £5.50 and you can buy it here.
The Breakfast Scrub
One of my favourite products is the breakfast scrub as it smells of Golden Syrup porridge mmm. Its full of fruit extracts which waken up your skin making you feel ready for the day! It also is brilliant to get rid of fake tan! It retails at £9.50 and you can buy it here.
Scrub Your Nose In It
For anyone who needs a daily facial scrub that unclogs your pores, reduces blackheads and increases radiance...Scrub your nose in it is THE ONE! It has a minty smell which really helps with waking you up in the morning and leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft! A little tip - Once a week I put it all over my face and leave it for 5-10 minutes, it acts as a great face mask! It retails at £7.40 and you can purchase it here.
So that is it for today's post, Part 2 of the Soap and Glory blog will be here next Thursday :) They have so many amazing products I wont be able to cover them all but if you click here it will take you to their website where you can check out all they have to offer. Thank you all for bearing with me over the past couple of months, I promise I'm back on track now.
Much Love,

A Few Bits and Bobs!...
Well hello too all of you!
It has been a long time since I last posted so I probably have some explaining to do! I have been weighed down with so much uni work I haven't had chance to breathe :-( But first semester is complete now so I can start up again! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year...
Firstly how are the new years resolutions going? I'm trying to lose the extra weight I piled on over Christmas so I've joined my local gym. If your a student they normally do a good student plan to save yourselves a bit of money. I started off only being able to run 1min 30secs on the treadmill but now I can run for ages so I'm on my way :-) I also have been using my exercise bike at home for the days that I miss the gym...here I am!
What I really hate about losing weight is the 'eating healthy' part, I literally detest it! However we all need to be healthy not only for our figures but also our health. I've been eating quite well and if I ever fancy chips I buy Mcains as they're less than 5% fat. I also haven't completely cut out things like sauces just opting for the low fat mayo or salad cream. What I tend to do now though is swap mince for quorn which reduces the fat significantly.

Lovely for a spag bol! |
So after all the alcohol fuelled evenings its a good idea to get a good body scrub to get all the alcohol from your skin ;-) Their have been many I have used as an all body scrub and heres my top 3.
Origins - Incredible Spreadable
I adore origins ginger range as it smells devine and also feels really yummy on your skin. They have a full range of giniger products which all work really nicely together, as well as gift sets at certain time of the year which is very good value for money. Ginger is a very natural ingredient which increases the radiance of skin and decreases inflammation and redness. Incredible Spreadable gets rid of dry skin and dead skin cells before turning into a soap like foam. After using this I find my skin feels extremely refreshed and very 'clean.' It retails at £22 and you can buy it in most department stores or online here.
![]() |
Incredible Spreadable |
You can also get the ginger scrub in a large glass tub which looks really pretty in your bathroom. This retails at £32 and you can purchase it here.
![]() |
Ginger Body Scrub |
Both of these products are more suited to normal-dry skin.
The Sanctuary - Body Scrub
Another body scrub I really love is The Sanctuary Body Scrub. Not only is it really good value for money but it actually really enhances radiance and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. It also smells really lovely with a fresh, citrus smell. This product retails at £5.25 for 200ml and you can purchase it here.
![]() |
They also do a body moisturizer to complement the scrub. |
Soap & Glory - The Scrub of Your Life
For those of you who don't know I have an absolute obsession with Soap and Glory to the point where it takes over my whole life, well bathroom. I just think the products always have amazing results and its all quite cheap-always a bonus. My next blog post will be specifically for Soap and Glory so keep posted. The Soap and Glory Body Scrub, The Scrub of Your life, is very thick with lots of exfoliating beads. Like Incredible Spreadable it transforms into a foam once you start rubbing it leaving skin soft and refreshed. This exfoliate is perfect for getting stubborn fake tan off as it is quite rough, so don't scrub to hard or you'll leave the bath bright red! It retails at £4 for a 200ml and you can buy it in any boots store or here.

So many more products to discuss! Well that's it for today guys, hope you enjoyed the post. As I said my next one will be based on all things Soap and Glory :-) Much Love, Lorna xoxox |

Kiko, A new Italian brand!...
Hey Everyone!
Hope your all good and wrapping up warm in this cold weather! Also a quick reminder that the clocks go back Sunday so we get an extra hour, woohoo!
So moving on to todays post which is about a new Italian brand I've come across called Kiko. A store has been opened in Westfields, Stratford and thats where i first saw it. So i went in, had a nose and spent some money :-). I bought some eyeshadows, lipstick, and mascara which will be covered in this blog post.

Inside the shop. |
The 3 eyeshadows i bought are below. There are many colours but i chose to go for some autumn colours including a burgandy, a brown and a gold. They have really good pigment and have worked as well as my Mac ones. Here they are:
![]() |
This eyeshadow is number 101 and is ideal to use for a lighter shade or a blending clolur. |
![]() |
This eyeshadow is perfect for autumn and is the colour 137. Its a burgandy red. |
![]() |
This is lovely for doing a smokey eye effect with some warmer shades. The colour is 131. |
![]() |
A swatch of the colours. |
The mascara i bought was the Luxurious Lashes Maxi Brush Mascara. I find it isnt very good for a going out mascara as even though the brush is quite big theres not enough volume however, its ideal for a casual day make up.
![]() |
Pretty gold mascara. |
The final item i bought was some lipstick. Its really pigmented and moiturising and feels yummy on the lips.
![]() |
Colour is 392 Rosso Mela. |
So i only bought a couple of items but i think Kiko is fab and so affordable. The online site is all in Italian and the prices are in euros but i did not pay more than £5 for each products with the mascara bring £3.90. I think for the value the products are very good.
If you do want to go on to the website and have a nose heres the link. Kiko Cosmetics
If you have any queries or requests please let me know and ill speak to you soon.

Swn Festival!...
Hello my beauty obsessed friends,
I've been an exceptionally busy as I am a third year student so sorry that the breaks between my posts seem to be getting longer :-( I do still really want to post all the time but I need to put uni first atm. But I am nearly at 5000 views so a big THANK YOU to everyone who cares and thanks to those of you who don't as well e.g my sister!
I have been extra busy because this weekend I had some AMAZING work experience at the SWN festival in Cardiff (SWN means sound in Welsh.) So I know this blog is usually about make up but I thought I'd tell you a bit about it. The Swn festival is a massive music event and showcases new, up and coming talent (most of them being welsh) around various venues across Cardiff. I worked mostly at the Cardiff Student Union with rep Kerrie and another volunteer Matt. We were pretty much amazing :-) My main job was to look after the artists- artist liaison to be posh! So I fed them, organised their dressing rooms, got them on stage and in some cases chased them down the road. (Don't go there) It was very hectic but I loved every second of it and think I may be one step closer to choosing a career path! There were 8 acts over the 2 days including 'The Joy Formidable', 'The Fall' and 'And so I watch you from afar'. At first I found it quite difficult to deal with all of the artists demands especially when they were being annoying and asking for a meat platter, but in the end I got over it and thought if the tables were turned id probably ask for a selection of farmyard animals all dressed in cute dresses :/ On the Saturday night, after the acts were gone, I worked at the Silent Disco which also held at the SU. Well I say work I just basically had a laugh!
For two hours of my day on Friday, I left the SU to help out at the Welsh Music Prize in the KuKu club. It was the first year of the prize so it was all very exciting. I was on the door (dressed in my usual clubbing attire) and had to make sure everyone got in ok. Me, being the idiot I am, never recognises anyone so when I said 'excuse me I need you name' and these men replied 'We're the Manic Street Preachers' I nearly died of embarrassment. Anyway a big congratulations to Gruff Rhys who won the award because of his album 'Hotel Shampoo.' The award was founded this year by John Rostron (Festival Director) and Huw Stephens (Festival Director and BBC radio DJ).
If you haven't heard of Swn or have never been I really recommend you go next year. It is held at loads of venues including Tiger Tiger, Clwb Ivor Bach, Glam, Dempsey's and Chapter Arts! There was even a surprise performance this year from Charlotte Church! I also got to catch a glimpse of Katy B's set at the SU :-) Not to do with the festival though so shhh!
So thats it for today folks! Just want to say a massive thank you to John, Llinos, Helen and Kerrie for letting be involved in this amazing festival! Also to Matt who thinks I'm a controlling nightmare :-) Heres the link for Swn http://www.swnfest.com/
